Flying into Farnborough for the airshow: getting to wherever you're going next

Farnborough International Airshow is one of the busiest weeks of the year for private aviation in the South East, and it lands right in the middle of the area we cover. Farnborough Airport is one of our busiest routes, and airshow week is when that matters most.

A different kind of arrival

Airshow week brings a heavier concentration of private and business aircraft into Farnborough than the airport sees on a normal working day, and slot times can shift with comparatively little notice. We coordinate directly with operators and handling agents rather than relying on a public arrivals board, which is the standard approach for private aviation but becomes more important when the airfield itself is busier than usual.

Onward journeys vary more than usual

Not every arrival during airshow week is headed to the exhibition itself. We see delegations travelling on to hotels across Surrey and London, executives routed straight to meetings that have nothing to do with the show, and return trips to the airport later the same day once business is done. The onward journey is planned around where you're actually going, not an assumption that everyone landing that week is bound for the same place.

Booking ahead of the week

Because Farnborough's own traffic is heavier during the show, and the roads around it busier than usual, we'd recommend confirming transfer details earlier than you might for a routine Farnborough arrival. Vehicle, timing and destination agreed in advance means the only variable left on the day is your actual landing time, which we're already tracking.
